What to Expect During Your Home Water Filtration System Installation

Clean and safe drinking water is a fundamental necessity for every household. With rising concerns about water quality, many homeowners are turning to home water filtration systems to ensure that the water flowing from their taps is free from contaminants. If you’re considering installing a water filtration system in your home, you might wonder what the installation process entails. This blog post will walk you through what to expect during your EcoWater home water filtration system installation.

Before Your Appointment

One to two days before your scheduled water filter installation, we will contact you to confirm our time of arrival. Once that time is confirmed, there isn’t much else you need to do to prepare for your appointment. However, depending on which kind of water filter you’ve purchased, you’ll just need to make sure that that area is easily accessible by our team.

If you are getting a Reverse Osmosis system, your filter will be installed on your kitchen sink. Make sure to remove any items under your sink, and that there is plenty of space around the sink area to ensure the installation goes smoothly.

A whole house water filtration system is installed near your main water line, preferably in your garage, if possible. For ease of purpose, please move your car out of the garage if you can, and make sure we have a clear path to your main water line. You also may want to prepare a space for your new water system to live.

During Your Appointment

Your appointment may take anywhere between three to five hours depending on your home’s plumbing. Although this amount of time is average, the actual time it will take to install your water filtration system may vary. It’s also important to know that your water will need to be shut off for about an hour. However, we will inform you before the water is turned off so you can plan ahead.

After the system is installed, we will run any necessary tests to ensure that everything is working as intended. We will also help you set up access to our mobile application so that you can monitor your water, know when it’s time to change your filter, and more.

Enjoy Your Clean Water

After the installation and testing are completed, you can start enjoying the benefits of clean, filtered water right from your tap. You’ll notice improved taste, odor, and a reduction in common water contaminants, providing peace of mind for you and your family.
